Photography | Learning Photoshop
My first photography class taught me the basics of Lightroom and Photoshop. Again, the basics, nothing more and nothing less. While the basics were great, my photography and more specifically, my editing skills still hasn't gotten to the level I'd like it to. So, I am continuing to teach myself through books and videos and tutorials on YouTube.
Learning how to edit is a pain. Especially learning how to edit well, because I "knew" how to edit before. Yep, I edited all of my pictures with a nice VSCO filter, adjusted brightness, contrast and saturation, and called it a day. Now I know how it's suppose to be done and I'm doing my best to get better at it. It can be a tedious process, but since I'm still so new at it, it becomes exciting as I watch myself improve little by little.
I've had more experience with Lightroom than I've had with Photoshop, so this week I decided to challenge myself in Photoshop. My goal was to clean up my skin in these old photos, while still maintaining the real texture of my face. I'm pretty satisfied... for now.
It's still not perfect, but it's better than it was before!
